Believe it or not, nowadays our mobile phones, home stereo systems and wrist watches can speak among themselves and the common language they use is Bluetooth.
Bluetooth is said to be a versatile short range wireless technology that can be used for connecting anything and everything from the personal digital assistants to the GPS receivers and so on. Bluetooth is used everyday with hands free car kits and for synchronizing cell phones with the notebooks or laptops without even thinking about the Bluetooth technology that has made it possible.
In earlier days, it was very difficult getting connected to any two electronic devices and the speed of data transfer was very low that only small data bits could be achieved. But now the whole scenario has changed drastically that we are able to control our home stereo for controlling playback music from our wrist watch itself and we are now able to store music on our cell phones, as the Bluetooth pairing process has become very simple.
Almost all the Bluetooth enabled electronic devices are free from the dangling cables that it has resulted in hands free operation. It is considered as a smart technology which is making our lives high tech and less wired. Bluetooth can be found in many products like the portable music players, GPS navigation systems or units, toys, headphones, mice, keyboards, speaker phones, and so on. It is widely prevalent in all the places such as hotels, gas stations, banks, restaurants and other call points of interest that the user can make use of the technology anywhere to stay connected.
